Realtor of the Year, 2006

Jane phones from Sarasota, deep in realtor training. After eight hours of seminars, they ate dinner, also all together. She’s calling from where they’re dancing and drinking cocktails. Me, jealous? Worrying? Not exactly. If I were the Conferee, the second meetings finished I’d bug out, hide where no fellow realtor could find me, make me talk Realty. Me and Jane are a solid couple (I hope) partly because we have different strengths. Jane says, “Marshall, I don’t even like half these people. This is me, working.” It is, yes, I see. Realtor of the Year, 2006. A born closer.
